Two Men Face Charges In Connection With Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack
Two men have been charged in connection with a suitcase robbery where a suspected irritant spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, police said.
A toddler was caught up in the incident during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.
The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
