Skydance Paramount Set to Cut Nearly 2,000 United States Roles – Report

Paramount Skydance plans to begin significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 positions in the United States under a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn under CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional overseas workforce reductions are anticipated, with the company planning to reveal complete information in its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Earlier reports had indicated the firm was looking to cut from 2,000 to 3,000 roles before the start of November.

Until December 2024, the company had almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff along with 3,500 temporary project employees.

The organization has not provided a response regarding the report.
