Assassin's Creed Unveils Bizarre Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that challenges traditional expectations, the game developer has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where whispers of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The plot introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.
The mission focuses on "bizarre trials and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Metamorphoses
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Bonus Features
Players who accomplish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
