Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Frequented Southern California Beach
A helicopter flying over a well-attended coastal beach unexpectedly commenced twirling wildly, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a line of palm groves as spectators looked on.
Footage uploaded on the internet show the helicopter commencing to spiral above the shoreline then falling near the edge of the coast, where it becomes wedged between palms and a steps close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Information
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five people were taken to hospital including two who were in the chopper and were âsafely pulled from the wreckageâ subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the pavement were injured. Information on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
